After several months of Blue Coupe's soft launch phase, when we got everything right, it seemed appropriate to have a party to celebrate our official hard launch. This we did on June 29, 2000 at Voda Nightclub, Vancouver, British Columbia's newest hot spot. We celebrated with our friends, even some of our family, as well as top media and music industry people from Vancouver and beyond.

Since we did an inadequate job of thanking some of the people who have made Blue Coupe happen, we thought we'd try it again here.

Blue Coupe and January Magazine sales and marketing manager Michael K. Richards worked hard to ensure not only that the launch went well, but that guests got a good blast of Blue Coupe propaganda while they were inhaling those Blue Coupe Martinis. Michael's continuous hard work, attention to detail and unflagging good humor make him a supporting column of the January Publishing team. There are no words to thank him properly. But we try.

We thank all of the writers and producers who make Blue Coupe possible. This includes the ones who couldn't -- for reasons of distance -- attend our launch -- as well as those who did.

Carrie Wheeler of Vanity Management was too busy attending to details to stand still long enough to have her photo taken. Carrie did all of our party planning -- from venue to food to all of the little details that go into making a successful event.

PR Canada invented and supplied us with the very enjoyable Blue Coupe Martinis. We're told that some of our guests are going to be trying to order those around town.

Cowell Motors of Richmond, B.C. supplied us with a lovely Audi TT -- blue, of course -- that sat outside Voda announcing our presence to the world. It was super of them to let us use it, even though no amount of whining and cajoling would convince them to let us keep it.

Thanks to Patricia McLean of Publicity Works for her ongoing help and support and for helping to let the media know about the event.

Thanks to Robert Mackwood of CCPR and the whole gang at NSB -- who showed up en masse, even though we didn't get the pictures to prove it -- for their ongoing help and support. There's a whole lot we can say we couldn't have done without them.
